Fibreboard box UN 4G/4GV, PG354/PGV354
UN 4G and 4GV certified box. This double certification allows, according to the different inner packaging to be shipped, to choose the suitable certification (4G or 4GV).
A fibreboard 4G box, referred to in regulations as “UN-certified 4G fibreboard box”, is a specific type of fibreboard UN-certified outer packaging containing one or more specific inner packaging(s). In order to respect their certification validity, UN-certified 4GV boxes must be used only together with the specific inner packaging and content they were tested with and approved by the certifying body. This specific inner packaging will be the same mentioned in the test report. Furthermore, maximum gross weight and closing instructions defined in the test report must be observed, too (dimension of adhesive tape, type of adhesive tape and closing system). A fibreboard 4GV box, referred to in regulations as “UN-certified 4GV fibreboard box”, is a specific type of fibreboard UN-certified outer packaging, suitable to ship any kind of object or inner packaging containing solid or liquid materials belonging to packing group I, II, or III. To use correctly UN-certified 4GV boxes, you must use them together with Vermiculite (inert absorbing material) and with a containing PE sack (sold separately). Furthermore, maximum gross weight and closing instructions defined in the test report must be observed, too (dimension of adhesive tape, type of adhesive tape and closing system). Our 4G and 4GV boxes are certified according to ADR, RID, ADN, IMDG and ICAO-TI / IATA regulations, shippers are responsible of checking if their dangerous goods can be shipped with the chosen transport mode.
