Customized UN approvals in 40/60 days.
We can UN certificate the following packaging:
Do you need a customized UN approved packaging?
Do you already use UN approved packaging and want to be sure it is compliant?
What are the steps to obtain the certification of a UN approved packaging?
To ensure maximum safety during the transport of dangerous goods is necessary, except in specific cases, that the packaging is UN-approved. A valid UN certification recognized worldwide consists of an initial test phase and the subsequent production control phase. It must be valid for all modes of transport with which dangerous goods can be shipped (ADR, RID, ADN, IMDG, and ICAO-TI / IATA). Starting from the characteristics of the products you need to transport and the type of packaging, we provide a technical support service for obtaining the UN certification of your packaging. Obtaining a UN certification can be summarized in 9 steps:
1 Filling out and sending the Request Form
2 Presentation of samples for testing
3 Specific measurement and verification of packaging components
4 Identification / evaluation of the locking system (tape, staples)
5 Tests required to ensure compliance of the packaging
6 Criteria for acceptance and Test Results
7 Conclusions
8 Test report
9 Issue of mark and UN certificate
UN approvals valid for all regulations and without expiry date
The only way to always ship safely is to have UN-approved packaging for all shipping methods. This allows you to send your goods anywhere in the world using the most suitable and appropriate mode of transport for your needs. To ensure maximum safety and flexibility, we provide compliant and valid UN approvals for all transport modalities:
- By road ADR
- By rail RID
- By Inland waterway ADN
- By sea IMDG
- By air ICAO-TI / IATA
Another crucial aspect is the expiration of UN certifications and production controls. Many certifying bodies, which do not carry out production controls, put the validity of the UN approval at risk. Others define deadlines (5 or 10 years) and oblige the UN certification holders to go through the whole process again and the costs for a new certification. Our UN certifications do not expire and are only subject to annual renewal as well as the positive outcome of production checks as required by the regulations:
- ADR / RID / ADN 6.1.1.4 e 6.1.5.1.3
- IMDG 6.1.1.3 e 6.1.5.1.3
- IATA 5.0.2.5 e 6.3.1.1.2
Don't risk and pack safely
