Validity of regulations for the transport of dangerous goods

To ship dangerous goods in a safe and compliant way, the choice of the correct manual is a fundamental aspect that one cannot ignore. There are two key aspects about manuals or, to be more precise, about regulations: the first one concerns transport mode, the second one about its validity, meaning time or period of application. For what concerns transport mode, the related manual must be chosen and consulted according to the kind of shipment used, specifically:

  • - Transport by road: ADR Regulation;
  • - Transport by rail: RID Regulation;
  • - Transport by inner waterways: ADN Regulation;
  • - Transport by sea: IMDG Regulation (or code);
  • - Transport by air: ICAO-TI / IATA Regulation.

It is good to know that manuals are updated regularly, to include all the legislation updates (addendum that can be enacted even after the release of a manual).

We have prepared for you a form about the validity and application of new regulations for the transport of dangerous goods.
