Some examples of UN certified packagings

When you ship dangerous goods there are several packagings with which you can pack the dangerous product. Choosing the type of packaging to be used depends on the type of packaging you plan to take, but above all on the types of packaging permitted by the packing instruction of the reference manuals. Except for special cases, for example the shipping of dangerous goods in Limited Quantity, UN certified packagings must be used. The reference manuals (ADR, RID, ADN, IMDG and ICAO-TI / IATA) in the packing instructions show codes to accurately identify an approved type of packaging. This “identification code” describes briefly the kind of packaging, the material used for its construction and the category of technical construction details. Let’s see some examples:
